Fuentes y licencia del catálogo de vehículos

Vehicle data by VehiclesDB, versión 2026.10.4, bajo Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

Publicación del catálogo original. MiPlaca guarda una copia en su base de datos. Buscar un tipo, marca o modelo no envía datos a una API externa. La consulta por placa, cuando está disponible, es una función separada.

Alcance y cambios en MiPlaca

El catálogo incluye automóviles, motocicletas, ciclomotores, furgonetas, camiones y autobuses. VehiclesDB reúne registros de distintos países; Ecuador no está entre los países de esta versión. La presencia de un modelo no demuestra que se comercialice o esté homologado en Ecuador.

MiPlaca adapta los nombres para la búsqueda, presenta las categorías en español y añade modelos con fuentes locales. Conservamos los identificadores del origen y no interpretamos los años de matriculación como años de fabricación. Los nombres introducidos manualmente por usuarios se guardan solo en su vehículo.

Complementos para Ecuador

Conservamos el catálogo local revisado y añadimos doce motocicletas Daytona publicadas en su sitio ecuatoriano. Solo usamos nombres y referencias; no copiamos fotografías ni descripciones comerciales. Esta selección no cubre todo el parque automotor del país.

Los N400 Cargo y N400 Pasajeros se clasifican como furgonetas según la categoría Vans de Chevrolet Ecuador. Cada modelo local conserva su propia URL de origen en el catálogo.
